Today
on the show I feel lucky to share an interview with one of my good
friends, Bonnie
Gleicher, a singer and
songwriter who has performed on Broadway, written the music and
lyrics to the off-Broadway musical Addy & Uno, now in its 10th mont
running and been published in the New York Times. Her music has
been featured on CBS, Good Day New York, ABC 7 and more, and she’s
sang and co-written the theme song for the 2015 Victoria’s Secret
fashion show backstage footage.
At an
early age, her biggest dream came true….but even though on paper
bonnie looks like one big resume of success, she’s faced more
failure, at an early age than most of us do.
Her
advice in this episode will help you change the way you deal with
rejection.
-Bonnie talks about what it was like to travel the
country taking on the role as Annie on the Broadway tour at only
10-years-old.
-Bonnie explains how she’s dealt with rejection over
the years when she tried out for Broadway shows, tried to sell
songs she wrote, or even getting her own show inside a
theatre.
-How
Bonnie dealt with getting bullied in school for not living a normal
childhood.
-How
Bonnie dealt with living out her childhood dream at an early age
and had to figure out what to do next.
-Why
integrating rejection into your life helps you become a stronger
artist and person.
-The
best ways to approach failure in your career, especially if you’re
